Meditation
Meditation
In close relation to 9morning routines – meditation is a core practice for people who want to master their mind and master their work .
Here is how we recommend people to meditate and leverage the meditation journal the team at Regarding Work put together this journal and these are the instructions.
##Pick a Time, and Stick to It We like to meditate in the morning, first thing. You need to decide if that is the best time for you or not. Some prefer evenings before sleep, and some do both!
Also it is recommended to sometimes have “emergency” meditation sessions when you are dealing with overload and need to take a time out from the daily grind. Meditation is a perfect way to clear your mind from that stress and come back refreshed!
##Choose a Style Do you want to have guided meditation, or simply listen to calming meditative music and chants? There are normally options in various mobile apps, one free option being Insight Timer (search the App Store)
You can skip all the apps and music and simply meditate in silence – the key though is to get away from the daily workflow and distractions and find a quiet place.
##How Much Time Will You Put? Next – how much time? Even 1 minute will help (especially in those emergency stress sections mentioned above) – we recommend on your daily practice to try to do between ten to twenty minutes.
##Clear Your thoughts Now, don’t think about anything – this is our recommendation. To try thoughts as clouds and clear them out of your mind.
##Document Your Thoughts and Feelings This is where the meditation journal will come in handy – after you have finished the session, think of how you feel. What will you accomplish, what is most important for that day ahead.
##Be Positive Positive thoughts make positive results. We hope this quick guide helped you out and look forward to hearing your progress. Contact us here at Regarding Work and we’d love to hear how it went.
